Until recently, if you wanted to watch a movie, a trip to a video store like blockbuster was your only option. You can now save a trip to the video store and download movies right off the internet. Sappy and the Stinkers: Silly tale of a group of entirely, irresponsibly unsupervised nerdy 7-year-olds saving an ocean lion contrary to his will. During the voyage they pester the head of their boarding school with their pranks. An entirely unfunny comedy, and a trash of ability on both sides of the camcorder. Cast includes Bronson Pinchot, Jennifer Coolidge, David Dukes, and Sam McMurray. (78 minutes, 1998)

Horizons West: Normal Western of brothers Ryan and Hudson on counterpart sides of the ordinance; the newer tries to block the prior’s attempts to ruthlessly possess voltage in post-Civil Battle Texas Horizontal Lieutenant. Cast includes Robert Ryan, Julia Julie Adams, Stone Hudson, Raymond Burr, James Amess, John Mcintire, and Dennis Weaver. (81 minutes, 1952)

Vertical Limit: Peter Garett, an ex mountain climber who gave the sport up after his father died tragically while climbing, finds himself in a difficult situation. His sister and climbing partner have been trapped in a deep crevasse while attempting to climb the famous K2 peak. He is one of the only people capable of even attempting a near impossible rescue. Time is of the essence, as the trapped climbers will soon freeze to death.

Days of Wine and Roses: Modern Lost Weekend set in San Francisco, with Lemmon wedding Remick and lugging her into a state of alcoholism. Practical direction and abrasive inscribing combine for phenomenal outcome. Cast includes Jack Lemmon, Lee Remick, Charles Bickford, Jack Klugman, Alan Hewitt, Tom Palmer, and Jack Albertson. (117 minutes, 1962)

Red River: One of the best American ventures is seriously a western Mutiny on the Bounty. Clift rejects the dominance of Wayne (radiant in an unsympathetic role) throughout a key livestock drive. Captivating photography by Russell Harlan is coupled with an exciting Dimitri Tiomkin score. A movie you need to see. If you don’t pay close attention, you’ll miss Shelley Winters dancing around a campfire. Cast includes John Wayne, Montgomery Clift, Walter Brennan, Joanne Dru, John Ireland, Noah Beery, Paul Fix, Coleen Gray, Chief Yowlachie, and Hank Worden. (133 minutes, 1948)

The Iron Mask: Amusing Dumas story later filmed from an informed from point of view of D’Artagnan Fairbanks, who gets to be Louis XIV’s safeguarded from birth to a later time. While planning, Rochefort Haupt tries to pass off as a double sibling as an heir to the throne. This lavish, quiet, swashbuckler initially had talking patterns. The very last scenes are particularly poignant as this was Doug’s goodbye to the swashbuckling genre. Most present prints are of the 1940 reissue with narration by Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. Cast includes Douglas Fairbanks, Belle Bennett, Marguerite De La Motte, Dorothy Revier, Nigel de Brulier, and Ullrich Haupt. (87 minutes, 1929)

Harry Potter And The Order Of Phoenix: Young Harry is getting ready for his fifth year at the Hogwarts School of Witchery and Wizardry. HE has heard very little from this world of magic during this summer break. Just what’s in story for Harry when he finally gets back to Hogwarts?

Sullivan’s Travels: Sick of making fluff, film controller McCrea plans to do a “earnest’ film; to analysis it, he sets out with 1O’ in his compartment to experience .life in “the genuine planet.” Dry and grief mix seamlessly sick this landmark Hollywood satire, which grows more relevant with each passing year. Cast includes Joel McCrea, Veronica Pool, Robert Warwick, William Demarest, Margaret Hayes, Al Bridge, and Franklin Pangborn. (90 minutes, 1942)

Days Of Thunder: Cole Trickle is a young, successful getting a shot at the big time in NASCAR. Amazingly, he knows almost nothing about cars. He needs to learn to communicate with crew chief Harry, or he will fail to succeed.
