The downturn that occurred between 2007and 2009 was particularly severe and will become known as “the great recession” in the annals of history. None of us will forget it and will certainly learn its lessons, even if we were able to hang onto our jobs as it unfolded. We are now living in a new era and many of us are asking the question whether we will be able to change jobs comfortably should we wish to in future. We need to look at all our options.
